The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will present THE ADDAMS FAMILY March 9-11 at the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire.

Meet the Addams Family- Uncle Fester, Gomez and Morticia, their kids Wednesday and Pugsley, and their servant Lurch. Based on the 1960’s TV series, this campy musical is full of zany satire and screwball comedy along with a healthy dose of Marx Brothers’ slapstick.

Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, $14 for students, and $8 for youth ages 12 and under.

The Addams Family is sponsored in part by Mid-West Family Broadcasting, Charter Communications, Wisconsin Public Radio and the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council.

L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library, Eau Claire, WI
Wisconsin ArtsWest 39, a major juried exhibit for regional artists, opens Sunday, February 25, at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire. A reception will be held on Thursday evening, March 1, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the gallery on the library’s mezzanine. Awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m.

The exhibit may be seen in the gallery and throughout the library February 25 through April 6 during the library’s regular hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

What a Wonderful World - Annual Concert by the Chippewa Valley Community Chorus

The Chippewa Valley Community Chorus (CVCC) has been in existence for over 30 years. Based at the Heyde Center for the Arts, members of the chorus come from throughout the Chippewa Valley to participate under the direction of Cathy Reitz and accompanied by Anne Kubiatowicz. The Chorus holds rehearsals on Tuesday evenings beginning after the first of the year and performs in the early spring. This allows people to make a short-term commitment and still have a wonderful musical experience. The Chippewa Valley Youth Chorus will be participating in both concerts! The Stand in the Light Choir will be joining the Chorus for Sunday's concert! Admission: adults $10, seniors $9, and youth $4

B-Framed Galleries, 313 S. Barstow St. Eau Claire, Wisconsin
B-Framed Galleries is hosting an exhibit of artwork by Abstract Expressionist painter, Nate Rylander from January 11th through March 13th in Downtown Eau Claire. “Action painting” can be seen in his artwork along with reclaimed materials such as hollow core doors. Inspired by several masters, we refer to Rylander as the Jackson Pollock of the Midwest with the influence being seen in several paintings.

Beaver Creek Reserve, S1 County Road K, Fall Creek, WI 54742 The show opens March 10 with an Artists Reception and runs until April4.
Watercolor Artists to hold Annual Show and Sale at Beaver Creek Reserve

The Chippewa Valley Watercolor Artists will open its annual exhibit and sale beginning March 7 at the Wise Center at Beaver Creek Reserve located north of Fall Creek on Cty. Hwy. K.

An artist reception will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on March 10th in conjunction with Beaver Creek’s French Toast Breakfast. During the reception there will be free painting activities for children and drawings for artworks donated by the CVWA artists.

The show features work from 25 artists on subjects that range from flowers and landscapes to portraits and abstractions. A portion of all sales goes to Beaver Creek Reserve.

The show will remain until April 4th and can be viewed during open hours. The Reserve is open Mon. through Sat. 9 am to 4 pm and Sun. 12 pm to 4 pm. For more information call Beaver Creek Reserve at 715-877-2212
