The featured speaker this year is Jay Houston, big game hunter, author, Air Force veteran and conference speaker. Jay captivates listeners of all ages with his transparent yet highly informative down-home style, using humor and object lessons from his experiences while pursuing majestic elk or elusive mule deer, or serving as Weapons Systems Officer on F-4 Phantom jet fighters. He has written seven highly successful books on elk hunting and is equally skilled hunting the high country with a bow or rifle.

The wild game dinner will include tasty appetizers, venison fajitas, fried fish, Italian sausage, soup, desserts and beverages. Those in attendance will enjoy excellent displays and booth opportunities, and be eligible for numerous door prizes.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.calvaryrapids.org or at the church office Monday through Friday from 9 AM until noon or 1 to 5 PM. The number of tickets available is limited.

Cost to attend is $10.00 per ticket. The doors will open at 5:00 PM, with dinner served at 6:00 PM both nights. Men and women, boys and girls ages 8 to adult are welcome.

B-Framed Galleries is hosting an exhibit of artwork by Abstract Expressionist painter, Nate Rylander from January 11th through March 13th in Downtown Eau Claire. “Action painting” can be seen in his artwork along with reclaimed materials such as hollow core doors. Inspired by several masters, we refer to Rylander as the Jackson Pollock of the Midwest with the influence being seen in several paintings.

Ever wonder what camp looks like when it's covered in snow? Winter Camp is a great opportunity for youth to spend their February break enjoying winter activities such as snowshoeing, tubing, drinking hot chocolate, and warming up by the fire. We provide transportation to and from camp. The buses leave from the Eau Claire YMCA at 9:00 AM Friday and return at 4:00 PM Sunday.
