ECCT Presents: Charlotte's Web

The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will present CHARLOTTE’S WEB April 6-8 at the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire.

This exciting, new musical version of Charlotte’s Web brings a new dimension to E.B. White’s beloved novel with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse (Annie & Bye, Bye Birdie). Wilbur, Charlotte, Templeton, and all the barnyard animals along with Fern and the townsfolk bring this classic to life in a joyous musical experience.

Performances are scheduled for Friday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m, and Sunday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, $14 for students, and $8 for youth ages 12 and under.

Theatre-goers can add to their experience by attending “The Barnyard Bash” on Saturday, July 30, at 12:00 p.m. Those attending will participate in crafts, games, and treats, and meet the cast before the show. Tickets are $5.00 per person (does not include show ticket) and advance registrations are required.

Joel Kuehnhold, grew up working on grandparents and uncle’s farms. At 12, he started raising chickens and showing cattle at county fair. Joel left his 13-year career as an agriculture education instructor to focus on the farm, freelance as a grazing specialist, and forester for an environmental non-profit organization.
Topic: “Organic Vegetable Farming and the CSA World.” Includes: seed starting, hoop house/high tunnel usage, disease and pest treatment, composting, membership, restaurant, and soil nutrients/soil practices.

Come and join us as we tell the tale of an ogre who gets kicked out by his parents, moves to a swamp to be alone, and ends up getting invaded by fairy tale creatures. To get his solitude back, Shrek starts out on a journey that just might lead to his own happily ever after. This comical tale will have you laughing and maybe even farting out of your seats. Tickets will be sold in advance at John O'Melby Bank and Pigeon Falls State Bank, and will also be available for sale at the door for $7.

First Aid and CPR / AED courses are designed to teach the basic life support skills needed to render emergency care when needed. The knowledge of what to do in an emergency, and perhaps even more importantly, what not to do could make the difference between life and death or permanent disability. Participants who successfully complete the class will receive a certification in Adult CPR/AED and Infant CPR with First Aid.

Spruce up your child’s Saturdays

See your child's creative side come alive through art. This 8-week program covers a variety of techniques that are good for learners of all levels. Bring some color to your child's spring by signing them up for Artology.

Artology 1
Elementary aged artists (grades 3‐5)
This course is for the elementary aged child that wants to create more art and just can’t get enough! Every Saturday class will be spent working with different art media from chalk pastels to drawing pencils, watercolor to acrylic, fibers to glass and even clay! Instructor Julie Schaller has many years of experience teaching art using all kinds of different media.

Artology 2
Middle school artists (grades 6‐8)
This course is for the middle school aged child that wants to continue expanding on their skills or trying something new. Each Saturday class will be spent working with different art media at a more advanced level. Everything from chalk pastels to drawing pencils, watercolor to acrylic, fibers to glass and even clay. Come and join the fun!

Goals for both age groups:
• Proper painting techniques
• Differences and similarities between paints
• Learning about ceramics and glazes
• Learning how glass is made and how we can fuse it
• Fiber arts‐natural materials vs. synthetic
• Cultural exploration

Country Music, Fun and Honoring our Veterans

Maggie Mae & Heartland Country Band will be performing at the Pittsville School District Auditorium, Pittsville WI on Saturday, April 7that 2PM. Maggie Mae is a regular performer on the RFD TV television station. Her home is in Oxford, WI, but she tours the country throughout the year, always finding time to support military veterans and her long list of fans! Maggie Mae & Heartland Country Band’s show is pure country music with fiddles, guitars, steel guitars, piano, drums, and of course, Maggie’s singing!
The concert is reserved seating only. Tickets ($30 / $25) go on sale Saturday, November 11th! All ticket purchasers will automatically be entered for an exciting door prize.
