Canvas Sunday's is a PAINT class that is designed for you and your child (grandchild, niece/nephew, etc.) to have an evening out together and have some creative fun! 2-hour group classes for kids and their parents! Join a fun and energetic painting class using step-by-step instruction where children and parents each come away with a completed whimsical painting after two hours. Supplies included. The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will present CHARLOTTE’S WEB April 6-8 at the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire.
This exciting, new musical version of Charlotte’s Web brings a new dimension to E.B. White’s beloved novel with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse (Annie & Bye, Bye Birdie). Wilbur, Charlotte, Templeton, and all the barnyard animals along with Fern and the townsfolk bring this classic to life in a joyous musical experience.
Performances are scheduled for Friday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 7 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m, and Sunday, April 8 at 1:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, $14 for students, and $8 for youth ages 12 and under.
Theatre-goers can add to their experience by attending “The Barnyard Bash” on Saturday, July 30, at 12:00 p.m. Those attending will participate in crafts, games, and treats, and meet the cast before the show. Tickets are $5.00 per person (does not include show ticket) and advance registrations are required.

The Chippewa Herald along with the Chippewa Valley Cultural Association/Heyde Center for the Arts will again be hosting the 54th Annual Spring Art show. Nearly 100 local artists - old and young, novice and experienced - submit their two and three-dimensional art works each year to this community exhibit. The exhibition includes original paintings, sculptures, photos, stained glass, mosaics, ceramics, other creative art forms, demonstrations, and cash awards. There is no charge to the public for this exhibit, but donations are appreciated to help keep this exceptional gallery space available to the community. Registration opens January 25, 2018 and closes March 9th at 4:00 p.m.
