Chalk drawings in Eau Claire weren't limited to just kids on their driveways this weekend, as artists took charge of Wilson Park for the annual Chalkfest.
More than 60 artists grabbed their brightly colored chalk and went to work making colorful renderings of everything from unicorns to characters from the movie "Goonies."
People participating in Chalkfest say it's a great way to mingle and mix with other artists in the community.
“It's just really fun to be out with all the other people and see what they're doing and share chalk with them and go over and talk about what they're doing,” says artist Alice Kilgallon.
Chalkfest artists say they hope the weather stays dry so their creations remain on the sidewalk for people to admire.
