(WEAU) - Candidates and voters are now one step closer to the end.
The primary recall election showed Senator Terry Moulton will face Kristen Dexter in June.
He has also decided to challenge her to three debates, which she has accepted.
Moulton released a statement saying, “It’s important to use this time to discuss issues in the state.”
"The fact that he's issued a challenge is laughable but of course I have long stated my desire to you know be in debates and be in forums and to be out in front of the people," said Democrat Kristen Dexter, 23rd District Senate Candidate.
We talked to Senator Moulton prior to the election and with Kristen Dexter about their campaigns.
"I'll be doing some fund-raising, I will be going to a number of different businesses, we're touring several different businesses, I'll be meeting and greeting as many people as I possibly can," said Republican Senator Terry Moulton, 23rd District Senate Candidate.
“The next thing is just continue voter contact, there is still believe it or not a slice of people who haven't made up their mind about these races,” said Dexter.
Meanwhile the Eau Claire County Republican and Democratic parties argue over their candidates for the 23rd District.
"He wants people to see that Kristen's basic baseline premise is class warfare, she doesn't really have any good ideas that will move this state forward," said Brian Westrate, Eau Claire County Republican Party.
"That's incorrect, I mean there’s a variety of issues. There's Terry Moulton signing a confidentiality agreement, essentially a pledge that he wouldn't talk to his own constituents during the re-districting process," said Jason Hicks of the Eau Claire County Democratic Party.
