EAU CLAIRE (WEAU) -- Wednesday night was WEAU’s Annual Charity Softball Game and we could not have asked for a more perfect night!
It was the 3rd time the Hoffland Hitters have matched up against the Eau Claire Cavaliers.
The largest crowd we've ever had, about 800 people, were on hand for all the fun on the field, and the games in between innings.
The game raised $5,300. All of that money will go to the Eau Claire Children's Theatre which is hoping to get a matching grant to pay off their new building.
“It’s a great way to get our message out there that the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre needs your help, we need to raise some money and we want to be able to stay around here and we want to be able to pay off this building,” Daniel Ekelad said.
Thank you to everyone who came to watch and made this year’s game the best yet!
