TOWN OF BRUNSWICK, Wis. (WEAU) -- An area non-profit organization needs your help to provide a valuable service for veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Trinity Equestrian Center near Eau Claire is behind a fund-raising effort called "Clean Out for a Cause." It helps the center finish its Veteran Arena and support free equine therapy services it provides to veterans with PTSD and other combat-related injuries. The facility has been providing the therapy for the last four years. It has given more than 900 free sessions to more than 100 vets and their families. Right now, the center is trying to fill a semi trailer with soft goods like clothes, stuffed animals, linens, shoes and hats. When the semi trailer is full, global recycling company Whitehouse and Shapiro will pay the center $10,000.
The trailer was half-full earlier in the week. You can drop off soft goods at any Gordy's or Micon Cinemas location, at Sold 4 U Auctions in Lake Hallie, or at the Trinity Equestrian Center, which is four miles south of Eau Claire on State Highway 37. Trinity Equestrian Center says it's hoping to wrap up the effort by Sunday night. For more information, call (715) 835-4530 or click on the link on the right side of this story for more information.
