Local woman celebrates 100th birthday

(WEAU) - Local Centurion Loretta Robert celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, March 3rd.

Family from California, Minnesota and the surrounding area came out to ‘Our House Assisted Living’ in Chippewa Falls for the celebration.

Loretta shares the same birthday year of when the "Titanic" sank.

The party was hosted by her two nieces Bonnie and Jean, who were very excited to see their aunt turn 100.

"I think it’s wonderful, she's a Centurion, not everybody makes it to 100, I think this is very special," said Jean Burkhart.

100 guests were invited to the birthday bash.

Loretta and her husband Joe owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Marinette, WI.

Her husband Joe was Mayor of Cornell when Senator JFK visited his office while running for presidency.
