(WEAU) – After a lot of hard work, a group of people that are getting a “fresh start” showed off a home they've built Thursday.
The young adults in the Western Dairyland Fresh Start program held an open house Thursday at the home they built together in Fall Creek. The Fresh Start program provides education, employment skills and career direction for at-risk young adults by involving them in the construction of a new house.
Cite Supervisor Luke Steffen told us Thursday "You can see them taking leaps daily, weekly, monthly, some do better than others but I definitely see positive growth in all the youth throughout the course of the building of the house."
The house will be sold to an income-eligible family in the community.
