Fundraising pays off as new playground equipment is installed at local school
(WEAU) - It's been two years of fundraising, and now kids at a local elementary school will get a special treat when they return to class.
Volunteers were hard at work Thursday installing new playground equipment at Roosevelt Elementary School in Eau Claire. This is phase one of the project, with more equipment to be installed next year. Principal Melissa Olson says kids and businesses helped raise the money for the project.
The entire fundraising goal is $30,000.
