(WEAU) - A group of students from South Middle School used a unique way to collect money for the Salvation Army Monday.
Instead of ringing the bells for the Red Kettle Campaign, the kids played music outside Festival Foods. The group is part of a club that does community service around the area and helps raise money for families in need.
7th grader Cassie Grant told us "it makes me feel good that we're doing stuff for the community because it's important to give back."
The Red Kettle Campaign has helped thousands of families in need during the holiday season.
The Salvation Army says bell ringers are always in need.
