(WEAU) - To snow or not to snow that is the question, but not in Mondovi.
Despite muddy winter conditions, dog sledding at Sno-Trek Sled Dog Adventures is giving people the experience of the great outdoors with motor less four wheelers.
"I decided to do something that I absolutely love and that is work with people and dogs," says President of Sno-Trek Sled Dog Adventures, Howard Thompson.
In West Central Wisconsin, furry creatures are spending their days living the high life by running while enjoying the great outdoors.
"They have fun doing it so it’s a great experience all around for both human and dogs,” said Handler, Audra Spreeman.
While Audra cares for these happy go lucky dogs, Howard Thompson operates Sno-Trek Sled Dog Adventures with sleds and ATV’s.
"With the wheeled experience, you get the excitement of the dogs and traveling down the trail and actually with more control and more comfort than you actually have with the sled," said Thompson.
People are given an experience of either an introduction to mushing which can last 1 – 1 and a half hours, which can cost 120 dollars for one adult.
Otherwise one can select the mini-adventure, which lasts 3 hours and costs 240 dollars for one adult.
Although this winter has felt more like spring, a Minnesota family still made the trek for the adventure.
"We try to do this once a year and we just get in the car and go some place and the kids had no idea where we were coming out,” said Eric Chalmers Minnesota customer.
The Chalmers went out in pairs, even though the path was muddy.
It seems the dogs enjoyed the attention as much as they all enjoyed the trail.
