(WEAU) - UW-Eau Claire is holding several events celebrating Black History Month over the next few weeks.
The events include fundraisers, student panels, presentations, and musical performances. Organizers say there are important lessons to keep in mind during Black History Month.
Selika Ducksworth-Lawton, African American Historian at UWEC, says “To celebrate the Constitution, and the fact that citizenship falls equally regardless of their ethnicity or their race is one of the things you can do this month.”
Organizers also say many of the events this month were organized by student organizations. The events will run through March 1st.
