10/8/12 - Vada Husby
I would like to nominate Vada Husby, a volunteer at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Red Cedar Hospital for the Sunshine Award.
While my daughter was in the hospital delivering her first baby, my sister called the gift shop for a gift to be sent to her room. There were technical difficulties while processing my sister’s credit card so Vada put the charge on her own personal credit card to assure that my daughter would receive the gift before being discharged from the hospital. My sister did reimburse Vada the money that was owed, but she deserves more than that. I would like to recognize Vada for her generosity and going the extra step!
