Pam is a homemaker that has cared for her father while he was ill. Pam has taken care of my mother with alzheimers for 10 years until she passed away. Pam has taken care of her mother until her death of cancer and now, my wonderful wife has ended up after 36 years of marriage taking care of me, her husband, since my triple by-pass surgery in January of 1012 and my recent heart attack again in October of 2012. Pam is a very special person that has so much compassion and love for her family that we were able to keep all of our parents at home and not send them to nursing homes. Pam never once has complained about anything in the care of her and my parents and she has never asked for anything for herself. Pam so richly deserves to be noticed for being the wonderful, unselfish, and most caring person that I have ever met in my 55 years of life. The compassion that she shows cannot go unrecognized and therefore I am recommending her for this special award.
Pam has never asked to get away from the exhausting work caring for elderly family members that have suffered Alzheimer’s, cancer, and she has even traveled to Green Bay to stay with her younger sister that has had her ribs removed and part of her lungs. As I stated earlier, Pam would give the shirt off her back and often the last dollar to make sure that everyone she has cared for never wanted for anything or had to do without, be it diapers for my mother, driving 18 hours to get her mother to bring her to our home to care for her. She and I have given up our lives to ensure that others came first and were comfortable in their last days. God bless you Pamela Jo. We are so proud of you. I hope that before I go I will have the opportunity to give her that vacation or rest that she so richly deserves. Thank you for your consideration in this prestigious award. It would leave her speechless by the surprise of winning such an award.
