I want to nominate the Marshfield Clinic Regional Cancer Center for the Sunshine Award. We are so lucky to have this cancer center located here, in Eau Claire. Their entire staff, starting with Dr. Dalmastro and going all the way down to the volunteers, are the most wonderful, helpful, kind people that anyone would ever have the pleasure to meet.
This is my 3rd experience receiving help from the cancer center. My late husband, Al Dachel, had the good fortune to know all of the people there back in 2001 and they were just as wonderful then as they are now. I had lung cancer surgery in January, 2012, then chemo and now was diagnosed with the rare, Small Cell bladder cancer. When I had to start coming back for chemo again, I felt just like I was coming home. They have created such a happy home feeling there. Receiving treatment in their facility sure makes it easier to cope with and survive cancer.
