Andrew is thrilled to be a part of the WEAU 13 News team, which he joined in September of 2014.

Andrew was born and raised in Northeast Minneapolis. He is a graduate of St. Anthony Village High School. If that sounds familiar, it is. SAVHS is the same school meteorologist Matt Hoffman attended and they both are from the same class to boot! It’s a small world.

Andrew graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN in May of 2010 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, he was the voice of Tommie Sports providing play-by-play and color commentary and interned at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.

Andrew began his career at KAAL-TV in Austin, Minnesota as a News Reporter in November of 2010. He then moved north to KQDS-FOX 21 as a News/Sports Reporter covering the Duluth/Superior area. Most recently he was a Sports Reporter for KWCH-TV in Wichita, KS.

When he’s not on the job, Andrew enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as watching and still playing his fair share of sports. He’s still an avid soccer player, hockey enthusiast and golfer. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors any chance he gets.

Andrew is excited to get to know the great people of Eau Claire and the surrounding area. If you have any scores or story ideas please don’t hesitate to call (715) 852-1537 or send an email at andrew.lovelette@weau.com.
