Danielle Wagner joined WEAU 13 News in June 2015 as Weekend Anchor/Multimedia Journalist, and now co-anchors WEAU 13 News at Five with Judy Clark and WEAU 13 News at Six and Ten with Bob Gallaher.
She grew up in Oelwein, which is a small town in Northeast Iowa.
Danielle graduated from the University of Iowa in 2005 with a degree in journalism and history.
Her broadcast journalism career began at KTVO as a bureau reporter in Ottumwa, Iowa. Danielle then joined KWWL in Waterloo, Iowa as a reporter. She spent more than seven years at the station reporting and anchoring the weekend morning news.
Danielle has received honors for reporting and anchoring from the Iowa Broadcast News Association.
One of Danielle's passions is pets, which was inspired by her beloved dog Cubbie. She has worked with multiple humane societies to raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption.
She's also proudly partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Cancer Society, and local Veterans groups. Her father served in both the Army and the Iowa National Guard.
When she isn’t working, Danielle enjoys spending time with her three dogs (Teddy, Missy, & Pippy). They like to go for walks or just sit outside with a good book.
