Job Description

Chippewa County is accepting applications for a vacant Operator IV – Hotmix position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Operator IV – Hotmix position include all aspects of operation and maintenance of the County’s hotmix plant. Winter maintenance activities will be required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation on a routine basis, with experience operating a hotmix plant preferred. Must be able to operate a variety of equipment relating to construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Class A CDL without restrictions E and L required. N-Tanker Endorsement required within six (6) months from date of hire.

Wage:
$21.02 - $23.13/hr. depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package.

Benefits:
Security Health Plan provider options include high deductible plans ($2,000 for an individual and $4,000 for a family) and low deductible plans ($500 for an individual and $1,500 for a family) with monthly premiums ranging from $0 per month to $76 for an individual and $0 per month to $194 for a family. Wisconsin Retirement System contributions of 6.8% with a 6.8% company match. Life insurance, flexible spending, and disability insurance offered. Generous PTO program of 6.16 hours of PTO earned per pay period (26 pay periods in a year).
