Chippewa County is accepting applications for a part-time Program Assistant – WIC position within the Public Health Department – Nutrition Division. The job duties of the Program Assistant include but are not limited to provide direct client service and office support for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Farmer’s Market Nutrition (FMNP) Programs and other public health departmental programs and special grant projects, including monitoring and training of WIC and FMNP vendors for compliance with Wisconsin Division of Public Health vendor contracts.
A one (1) year technical diploma in a health or records management field such as medical office specialist or nursing assistant required. Two and one-half (2 ½) years of recent related work experience in a health care or records management field required, preferably in WIC program. A valid driver’s license required. $12.91 - $14.20 per hour depending on qualifications plus a fringe benefit package. Position may be eligible for an annual pay increase based on performance.
