Chippewa County is currently accepting applications for open Highway Laborer – Seasonal positions within the Highway Department. The job duties of the entry level Highway Laborer include but are not limited to: work zone flagging, right-of-way mowing & brushing, highway/bridge maintenance & construction, and highway facilities maintenance. Highway Laborer will be expected to perform work in many areas as needed. This is a limited term, seasonal employment opportunity that is an average of 40 hours per week from August through November.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Additional training in the trades may be preferred such as ability to read plans, operate light equipment and vehicles, and handle hand and power tools. Valid driver’s license required.
