The Chippewa County Department of Human Services presently has an opening for a Social Worker position with the Children Youth and Family Division. The job duties of the Social Worker include but are not limited to providing Ongoing Case Management for Child Protective Services.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field (e.g. psychology, sociology, etc.) and must possess or be able to obtain Social Work Certification or a Professional Counselor License within two (2) years of hire. Prior experience working in Child Welfare and with children and/or adults who have experienced trauma, AODA issues and/or mental health issues preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license. $23.61 - $29.74 per hour depending on qualifications, plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Position may be eligible for an annual pay increase based on performance.
Security Health Plan provider options include high deductible plans ($2,000 for an individual and $4,000 for a family) and low deductible plans ($500 for an individual and $1,500 for a family) with monthly premiums ranging from $0 per month to $11 for an individual and $0 per month to $30 for a family.
