Responsibilities:
To carry out a daily program, in prescribed areas, designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of school-age children, according to established policies, procedures and objectives. Will assume responsibilities of the Director in his/her absents.

Special Features/Requirements (license, certificates, etc.):
•Must be 21 year of age.
•Must have completed high school or equivalency or hold a certificate, credentials or diploma from a post secondary training program in early childhood or elementary, or physical education approved by the State of Wisconsin.
•Has completed two course in Wisconsin Child Care Administrator Credential
•Must have worked part time (120 ½ days) or full time (80 days) as a worker providing direct child care, as a child care worker or volunteer in a licensed child care center, kindergarten, or school-age program approved by the State of Wisconsin or be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a nursery, elementary, physical education or exceptional educational needs teacher, or show evidence of meeting the qualifications for certification, have earned 2 years of documented credit at an institution of high education with at least 3 credits equivalent to early childhood education, or have satisfactorily completed 80 hours of department-approved training in early childhood education, or elementary education.
•Must have a current certificate in CPR, or obtain.
•Must be on the Registry or willing to obtain Registry Certificate
•Is required to participate in 25 hours per year of continuing education.
•Follows/adheres to organization, Federal/State Regulations and Guidelines, including Resident/Client Rights; maintains neat, well groomed appearance adhering to dress code of organization/program.
•Verification of recent physical (and TB skin test) to be on file within 30 days of employment.
•Must complete an annual background check and upon hire finger print background check.

Essential Functions:
•Coordinating and leading child care staff to plan, implements and evaluate daily curriculum activities and scheduling for children.
•Serve as facilitator /communicator between staff, children, parents, volunteers.
•Provide guidance for childcare teachers, volunteers, substitutes
•Input into evaluation of staff and program volunteers
•Assign teachers to groups of children and direct activities.
•Review of children’s records every 6 month
•Collaborate with the Director to formulate staff meetings and orientation and continuing education for the staff.
•Is proficient in ProCare and Paycom and can teach staff how to use these programs.
•Works within guidelines established by the State of Wisconsin for licensed child care providers
•Works within guidelines established by YoungStar to maintain or achieve the next Star Rating
•Has access to confidential information/records and maintains confidentiality
•Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with families, children, school staff, coworker and public.
•Have good working relationship with the school districts we serve
