Under the direction of the County Surveyor, the GIS (Geographical Information Systems) Technician assists in maintaining and formatting GIS data used and developed by Jackson County.
Most duties assigned involve parcel mapping, editing spatial datasets, quality assurance, and generating maps.
An associate’s degree in Geography, Cartography, or related field. Must have two (2) years’ experience in GIS/automated mapping, or any combination of education and experience, plus knowledge of ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop.
2018 Wage Range:
$17.96 - $22.45 hourly and includes an excellent County benefits package and State retirement plan.
