Eau Claire Gardens in Bloom Tour

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- "Eau Claire Gardens in Bloom" tour is set for July 14, 2018. The Eau Claire Garden Club invites you to enjoy a leisurely tour of nine unique gardens. Tour hours are from 9am to 4pm rain or shine.

Each of the nine gardens offers you an opportunity to find inspiration in big or little projects. For example learn how flowers, shrubs and trees complement each other and what habitat works well to attract butterflies. Observe how gardeners use native plants, deer resistant options, heather and succulents.

Enjoy a walk through a restored community prairie garden, delight in a woodland fantasy garden with a five-acre pond and discover how to create a sustainable no-till heirloom vegetable garden. There are two examples of solar powered energy assisted homes to round out the educational experience of this event.

You'll find treasures for your own garden at the plant sale. Why not add a little whimsy to your outdoor world with some garden art. Relax and enjoy "Lunch by the Pond" with hearth-oven pizza, salads and desserts for sale by Bijou Bistro.

Tickets are $15 and available at all three Eau Claire Festival Food stores or directly through the eauclairegardenclub.com website. They'll also be available at garden tour locations on the day of the event. The money raised goes to community garden projects around the Chippewa Valley.
