Eau Claire rescue crews search Chippewa River for missing person

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Rescue crews in Eau Claire are searching for a person they say disappeared near the river Saturday night in Phoenix Park.

Eau Claire Fire and Rescue said crews will be out in boats on the Chippewa River until dusk on Sunday looking for the person.

According to the fire department and police department, the person disappeared while fishing around 7 p.m. Saturday.

The person's name is not being released at this time.
