EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A local man has struck gold after finding a 1955 class ring and is looking for the owner.

Kevin Emry, who’s part of The Three Seasons Treasure Hunting Organization, found the ring while metal detecting last month at the cross street of 13th and Hawthorne in Eau Claire.

The 10 karat gold ring is a size six women’s size with a square top and is engraved with the letters BHS.

Emery says there are seven local schools that is could possibly match including Blair-Taylor and Stanley-Boyd which went under name changes since 1955.

Emry says that the organization’s aim is to return lost valuable to its owner. He says he has returned many lost items before.

If you have any information on the lost item, you may contact Emry at 715-225-1264 after 3:30 p.m.
