MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) -- Two people are in custody after a package, delivered to a home in Marshfield, contained marijuana.

According to a news release from the Marshfield Police Department, a search warrant at a home on the 2700 block of S. Apple Ave. was executed by investigators on November 27.

An investigation, with the assistance of the United States Postal Inspectors Office, revealed that a package containing approximately one pound of marijuana was ordered from California. That package was supposed to be delivered to the S. Apple Ave. address.

Once the package was delivered, investigators executed their search warrant.

Jared Johnsrud, 18, and Mathew Badertscher, 19, were arrested.

The police department is recommending the Wood County District Attorney charge the two with Conspiracy to Commit Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
