EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An Eau Claire man is facing several charges in connection to the tool thefts at the Confluence Arts Center job site.

Shawn Lanier, 36, is charged with 12 counts including burglary of a building and theft.

The Eau Claire Police Department received multiple reports in October and November about stolen tools belonging to construction companies working on the confluence project. Back in November, Lake Hallie Police found dozens of power tools at a storage unit believed to be stolen. They seized more than $10,000 worth of equipment.

According to the complaint, workers from the construction site confirmed various tools found in the storage unit had been stolen.
