Eau Claire man arrested on repeat drug charges

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An Eau Claire man was arrested on multiple drug charges after officers executed a search warrant on a drug house.

The Eau Claire Police Department said Andrew Hinman, 26, of Eau Claire, was already on probation when they received a tip on February 6 about a drug house on State Street in Eau Claire.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers found over 4,000 grams of marijuana, hash oil and THC edibles in Hinman's house and car.

Police said they also found 16 grams of cocaine and multiple kinds of Schedule IV Controlled Substance pills. According to the criminal complaint, Hinman had also given heroin to a friend.

Hinman faces a total of eight charges. All of them are considered repeat offenses. If convicted, he could face a maximum of 70 years in jail and as much as $196,000 in fines.
