CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- With some students heading back to school in just over a month, a local coffee shop is helping make sure students are prepared.

4:30 A.M. coffee house is helping Valley Vineyard Church collect school supplies for the church's backpack drive.

The coffee house is starting to collect items earlier this year because the supplies the church had was destroyed in a fire last September.

Organizers say we need to take care of the kids.

"We're just the spot where people can drop it off, it's convenient, they'll go through the drive-up, it's just fun. It's fun to watch these kids get so excited to go to school," said Tracy Heidke.

Kids will be filling up the backpacks with school supplies on Aug. 21.
