Authorities recover body of man missing in Leech Lake

WALKER, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities have recovered the body of a Federal Dam man whose canoe apparently capsized in northern Minnesota's Leech Lake.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch says the body of 66-year-old Kenneth Gale was found about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities had begun searching after responding to a report of an overturned canoe the evening of Oct. 25.

Numerous local, state and tribal agencies were involved in the search.
