Ben Loomis competes in Nordic Combined team event

PyeongChang, South Korea (WEAU) Eau Claire Native Ben Loomis closed out his first Olympic experience as part of team event in Nordic Combined helping the U.S. to a 10th place finish.

The United States finished ninth out of ten teams in the Ski Jumping portion of the competition and slipped back to 10th in the cross country race for the their final finishing spot.

After the race Ben Loomis spoke about his final event and his time in PyeongChang.

"It was okay you know it's probably one of my better comp jumps so like I said before you can't complain with progress so I'm happy with it. It's satisfying and I'm happy with how it's gone so far and I'm looking forward to the next Olympics four years from now."

This was the third and final event for Loomis who finished 41st in the Normal Hill competition and race and 40th in the Large Hill event.
