EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Kids from western Wisconsin are learning how to be safe thanks to a free camp.

Mayo Clinic Health System is hosting a two-day summer safety camp at Carson Park.

During the camp, health care providers and other experts are teaching kids about weather, boat, animal, electrical and fire safety.
Kim Strasburg from Mayo Clinic Health System says the camp is very interactive.

"We take safety topics which can be kind of boring for kids, put in a camp environment so they have a lot of fun. You can see just from what's going on, we make it a camping experience while they are learning,” said Strasburg.

A total of 134 kids attended the camp.
