CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Chippewa Falls hosted the first ever egg hunt at Marshall Park.
Hundreds of kids of all ages braced the rain to hunt for colored eggs on Saturday.
Organizers say they were surprised by the large turnout, due to the weather, but were excited.
“This was definitely a trial run for us. We want to do it year after year. It’s helping us prepare for years to come. There are way more people than we expected. We had a good turnout on Facebook. With the weather we weren’t expecting all of these people and the crowd we got,” said organizer Heidi Hertzfeldt.
Hertzfeldt say she’s hoping to grow the event in the future.
