EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Due to the Chippewa River being above flood stage, many area parks and trails are closed.

The City of Eau Claire says trails and pedestrian underpasses near the river, Hobb's Boat landing, parts of Owen and Riverview Park, and portions of the Graham Riverside parking deck are closed.

Due to the high waters and fast currents, the city says people using the river for various activities including boating, canoeing, or kayaking should use extreme caution.
