EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- Eau Claire Police say they're investigating a number of graffiti cases across the city.

Officer Kyle Roder says graffiti cases are more difficult to solve due to the fact they're not often reported.

He says the sooner the department receives notification, the easier it is to have the crime analyst look at the markings and determine if there's a pattern involved.

"Unfortunately, with graffiti often people look at it and don't report it and sometimes down the road so the window of when it occurred is so great that it's very difficult to nail it down to who may be involved," said Roder.

If you see any graffiti, you're asked to call the Eau Claire Police Department.
