EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An Eau Claire man is facing several charges after being accused of disorderly conduct and mistreating an animal.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a home Monday on Hoover Avenue, following a report of a fight between 29-year-old Branden Hadt and his roommate

Once officers arrived, they found Hadt's roommate bloodied. The victim said a fight broke out after Hadt became angry over late rent money. Hadt says the victim attacked him first and punched him several times.

During the investigation, police also found a dog covered in feces and suffering from malnutrition.
