EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) A 25-year-old Eau Claire man is charged after his six-month pregnant girlfriend told police he physically abused her in front of her children.

According to court documents, Quinn Henigan was charged Wednesday with several counts, including being a repeat offender of domestic abuse.

The complaint says on Monday, police received a report from a woman who said she was arguing with Henigan at their house and that's when he hit her in the face in front of her children and then hit her young daughter.

She told police he then forced her in the bedroom where he choked her and hit her stomach and legs with a cane. The complaint goes on to say he eventually left and that's when she called police.
