Festival will be moving into the Gordy’s locations on Birch St. and N. Clairemont Ave. The Tomah store is located on E. Clifton St.

“We look forward to becoming part of the Tomah business community and welcoming new guests there,” Mark Skogen, President and CEO of Festival Foods, said in the release. “We’re also excited to open two new stores in Eau Claire, which will give our guests in that town more options.”

Festival currently has one supermarket on Mall Dr., which opened in 2005. The company announced it plans to complete the acquisition of the Gordy’s locations sometime in September, with all three stores operating as Festival grocery stores.

The announcement comes the same week Gordy’s, which has been in operation since 1966, closed its supermarket in Hayward. Once the acquisition is finalized, Gordy’s will operate 22 locations, with three of them in its home base of Chippewa Falls.
