ONALASKA, Wis. (WEAU)- Onalaska firefighters responded to a structure fire at a one story home on 13th Avenue South just after 9 Saturday morning.

The department says it was an electrical fire that started in the attic and caused minimal damage, mostly to insulation.

While crews cleared the scene within three hours, the department says the day's heat was a safety concern for firefighters. The department says attics are usually 30 to 40 degrees warmer than outside temperatures.
