MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- A Madison hair stylist was arrested after police say he "snipped" a client's ear with a scissors.

Madison Police say it happened on Friday around 2:15 p.m. at Ruby's Salon on State Street.

Police say a 22-year-old man requested 46-year-old Khaled A. Shabani to cut his hair. The man told police Shabani "snipped" his ear with scissors and began bleeding. He says Shabani then used the wrong attachment on the clippers.

Police were called after the man left to get his hair done elsewhere. Shabani was arrested for mayhem and disorderly conduct while armed. Police say Shabani claims it was an accident.
