Iowa man hurt while installing powerline equipment in Trempealeau Co.

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- One person is hurt after coming in contact with live power lines.

According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department, it happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7.

The department said an employee of High Line Helicopter Company of Gainsville, Virigina was working on installing powerline equipment in the area of Schansberg Road near Larkin Valley Road in the Town of Preston.

The employee, Michael Iverson of Lansing, Iowa, was being transported by a helicopter when he came into contact with live power lines and suffered burns to the body.

He was taken by air ambulance to a burn unit.
