CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU)-- A local chiropractor is headed to Rio for the 2016 summer Olympic Games.

Doctor Kevin Schultz is a chiropractor at My Life Health Center in Chippewa Falls. He's one of six chiropractors selected to work with USA Wrestling at this summer's Olympic Games.

Schultz will be working with athletes to improve their nutrition, athletic performance, and injury recovery time.

Schultz also worked with the team at the London Olympics in 2012 and says it's an amazing experience.

"I was told before London, 'you'll feel the energy in the air.' Which almost sounds kind of silly, but you literally can. It's just an amazing environment all around, from the spectators to being around the athletes and coaches," Dr. Schultz said.

NBC will have full coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics starting with the opening ceremonies on August 5th.
