McDonell/Regis soccer falls one game short of title game

By  |

MILWAUKEE (WEAU) -- The McDonell/Regis boys soccer team's season ended Friday with a 5-1 loss to the #1 team in division 4, The Prairie School.

The Prairie School started off the scoring in the 35th minute with a header and didn't stop there. Two minutes later, they scored again to make it 2-0. The McDonell/Regis Saints stood their ground for the rest of the 1st half, but The Prairie School started the scoring early in the 2nd with another goal just 2 minutes in to take a 3-0 lead.

The Saints got on the board midway through the 2nd half with a goal of their own, but The Prairie School was too much. They would get an insurance goal and end the Saints season with a 5-1 victory.
