HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Menomonie man is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash with a semi.
It happened on I-94 near Hudson Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m.
Investigators say Douglas Tronrud, 37, is in the hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening.
Troopers say traffic had slowed down for an incident on the Hudson Bridge when a semi was approaching the traffic back-up and could not stop in time. The driver of the semi made a lane change, hitting a vehicle next to it. Both traveled onto the median shoulder and into the cement median barrier. The semi traveled over the median barrier and the car became pinned on its side between the semi and the median barrier.
The crash is still under investigation.
