One man killed in motorcycle crash

TRIMBELLE TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WEAU) One man is dead after a car ran into a motorcycle in Trimble Township.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office says crews were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 10 around 4:15 on Sunday afternoon.

Deputies say 64-year-old Michael Edward Joyce, from Vadnais Heights, Minnesota was riding eastbound when he stopped to turn north onto W8766 Highway 10. A car behind him, driven by 54-year-old Mary Armstrong, of Beldenville, Wisconsin didn't stop and ran into the rear of Joyce's motorcycle, throwing him off of it. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Armstrong was taken to the hospital, and later released.

The crash is still under investigation.
