Person arrested after Onalaska library stabbing

ONALASKA, Wis. (WEAU) -- A person has been arrested after police say they stabbed someone in the driveway of the Onalaska library.

Onalaska Police say it happened Thursday evening around 5. When police arrived, the suspect was hiding in a home on 3rd Avenue.

Investigators say the suspect then jumped out of a window of the home and led officers on a foot chase. The suspect was caught and arrested.
Police say the victim was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

Police say the victim and the suspect knew each other. No names have been released.
