LOYAL, Wis. (WEAU) -- Kids in a Western Wisconsin school district will receive financial literacy education thanks to a philanthropic gift.
Friday morning the superintendent for the Loyal School District accepted a $25,000 check from the Draper Hills Financial Literacy Fund.
The fund, established by Dr. Eldon Hill, will help fund a financial literacy program for all loyal school district students.
Dr. Hill hopes the fund will educate kids in loyal and beyond about the importance of being financially smart.
Superintendent Cal Jackson said, "The generosity of a donation of this magnitude and the way it's going to be endowed is going to benefit the kids in Loyal forever. That's a neat thing to think about is it's going to go on continuously."
In the future, the fund hopes to support adult financial literacy education on top of the education provided to the K-12 students in Loyal.
